What is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD)?
The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (Iaedp) established the certification process to promote standards of excellence within the field of eating disorders. Professionals seeking certification must demonstrate clinical expertise through education, experience, and a rigorous examination. Additionally, a minimum number of qualifying work hours, commitment to continuing education, and compliance with the Association's ethical principles are required for certification. CEDRDs have completed these requirements in addition to those required by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for Registration.
What does it mean for you to have an eating disorder specialist on your treatment team?
When seeing a CEDRD, clients can be confident they will receive ethical, evidenced-based care in compliance with Iaedp’s standards of excellence.
